I'm back from band camp it wasn't all fun and play like the brownie camps i attended during my primary school days.For the first time i felt a little happy to go home after the camp.Let me give you a "chim" report of what happened.
First Day:
Eliza's mum drove Eliza and I to school .I felt stupid carrying so many things -my camping bag, cornet case, shoe bag and ice box.I looked as though i was going overseas for a month.We reached the band room at 7.30am.At 8am we prepared ourselves for the warm-ups.We practiced until 12noon then we had our buffet lunch.We continued our practice until 5pm.Then we ate bathed and watched The Chronicles Of Narnia until 10pm .Phoebe and i could not sleep.She could not sleep because the floor was too hard and she had indigestion.I could sleep but Shi Tian kept coughing and woke me up like 8 times.
Second Day:
I woke up at 5.30 and did not sleep since.We went to Toa Payoh Lorong 1 market for breakfast .I bought fish porridge with egg.It was AWESOME!After eating the porridge i became less hyper-active.haha.the seniors went over to SMSS-Saint Margaret's Secondary School for their combined band practice. We stayed behind for our individual practice.Most of the sections joined together and played as a group.Whereas Phoebe,Rachel,i and a few others practiced by ourselves.Then we saw Mr Jiow carrying a child.He came up to the band room by the lift and we mistook him for Mr Chan.So quickly pretended to play our instruments.We had a late lunch that day as the teachers had forgotten to cater food for the Sec 1s.After lunch,Mr Yeo came and conducted i regretted playing for so long just now because i had developed an ulcer and it hurt everytime i reached a high note.Practice was finally over,and many kiasu ppl quickly packed their instruments without even waiting for instructions to be made.
The BBQ
This was the best part of the camp.We had sausages,marinated BBQ chicken wings,corn,satay etc.all waiting to be barbecued. :P' the fire went quite well but all of a sudden because of a slight woosh...it went out.But our chef for the day Frany-my buddy managed to barbecue the meats nicely.
My new names
Firstly i just helped my section oil the meats then the other groups started approaching my section. In the end I started oiling running over 4 pits helping them to oil the meats.Then Phoebe shouted BUTTER GIRL! ·_·"That was my first name.
Secondly,after the BBQ i had a little get together with the trombone girls.Then Roslind came over and stared hard at me then she said that i looked like a counceller from Sec3 then she shouted abrutly -Freeda.
Third day
The last day of the band camp.We sort of practiced the whole day.My ulcer ached after the whole thing was over.The most hilarious thing my section did was to massage each other on the back whenever it was break time. It was started by Phoebe and I .We were both sitting together and were equally as tired lah.Then we started massaging each other.The others joined and soon the whole line of corneters were massaging each others' back. haha :P
Today
I woke up at 7.30.Considered quite late for an early bird like me.Then I went to check out the MAC Book and the SCV!!! Bought by my brother and my father respectively.For once i did not feel bored at home during the holidays.The whole morning was spent on watching cartoons and dramas,and updating my blog. (:
